​When I look back on those formative years in high school, I can remember two things rather vividly: one, (and no matter how ​ strange this will sound, it is the truth) I can remember walking by the hall of the counseling office and wonder what’s going on in the guidance office today and two,  I dreamed big. In high school my goal was to become a Hollywood film director and have my name up there with big guys, Speilberg and Lucas. Then, I went to film school and learned one valuable lesson: watching a movie and making a movie are two very different things. Needless to say, that dream came to a crashing halt. Still, as my dream lay in a burning heap around me, I turned to the advice of Mom, who was an educator for 45 years. Have you thought about teaching? Now, in my 13th year as an educator and 10th year as a counselor, I look forward to working with the class of 2015 for the next three years and helping them make their dreams come true.​​​​
