​I am a native west Texan who ​completed my undergraduate work ​at Texas Tech University. I came to the Houston area in 2005 where I taught high school English for two years in Galena Park ISD, four years in Katy ISD and this is my second year as a counselor at Elkins High School. I have a B.A. in English Language Arts and A Masters in Education Counselor of Education from Houston Baptist University.​
